This photograph of morning light on Goat Lake was made from two medium format horizontal slides merged together for this panoramic view. On a large print you can really see and get the feel of how this lake is perched on the edge of the world ... the distant peaks are at a similar elevation as Goat Lake. Below is a short video I took the afternoon before, during what became a fairly energetic Summer snowstorm. We had planned to climb Standhope Peak that day but the weather changed our minds. The next morning was calm and beautiful.
