Copper Basin is located between Sun Valley and Mackay, and it is an area that seems to not be well known - mostly it seems it is visited by people who live in SE Idaho. The basin is quite large, surrounded by some very nice mountains in the Pioneer Range.

This image is one of my favorite of aspen and Fall color, taken just as the sun was rising. It cannot be seen in the image on the web site, but if you could look at an actual print, you would see a special star shaped sun peeking through the aspen leaves. This image is one of a set of 4 I took at this place at this special moment.
