I can't quite find a way to put into words WHY I find this image so compelling - it just seems to have a presence. Somehow the light has managed to give the trees some kind of mysterious silvery feel.
This photograph was taken hiking in the forest that is part of the north side of Mount Borah - the highest peak in Idaho.
