This most unusual image was taken in what is technically called the Left
Fork of North Creek, but the common name given to this part of the canyon
is the Subway. The image is derived from a 30 second exposure, during which,
each Fall color leaf floating in the water creates an interesting swirling pattern.
Be forewarned, however, the National Park Service requires you to acquire a permit
to visit this place, and, for most of the year you will be required to enter a
lottery for a fee. Only if you 'win' can you purchase a permit.
