As the busy tourist season at Stanley Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains
winds down, by mid-September the place takes on a much more peaceful
and magical character. Most mornings the lake is covered in thick fog,
and as the sun rises the mist slowly rises and disperses.
It cannot be seen in the image on this web site, but in the middle
distance on the lake there are a magical line of birds slowly paddling
across the lake. In a large print this shows very nicely.
